Why the new look?
A funny thing happened on the way to my second Trickstering book cover. I reached out to the designer who did the cover of the first book to ask if she could change the silhouette on the cover to a forward-facing model to be more on-genre. I needed to order the second book cover anyway and figured it was the perfect time to make the tweak. But I didn't hear back from her. She lives in a country that -at the time- was having a spike in COVID cases. I emailed several times over the span of a month. I feared the worst! Then I got an email from some unknown business I assumed was trying to sell me something. It was her! My email service had decided to block her (so annoying.) I asked for a quote on redoing the model on the cover and she was going to charge me for a whole new cover. Pretty bummed. I love working with her, but I also needed a new cover for book 2 and couldn't afford two full price covers at the same time. ARGH. So, this is me, having to find a new (less expensive) cover artist to recover my Trickstering series. Yay! I always say, "If it were easy, everybody would be doing it." The thing is, with writing, everybody is doing it, so that never quite has the same impact. LOL.
I love the color schemes and the new portal. If I could get away with changing the cover on my books monthly, I think I would. I love book covers so much! It's an addiction. Anyway, in case you haven't seen them...here they are: (click the cover to buy the book)
Thumbs up? Thumbs down? I'd love to know what you think. Drop me an email by hitting reply!
